CogniSense is committed to protecting your privacy and developing applications that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy & Security applies to the CogniSense website and governs data collection and usage. By using the CogniSense website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
CogniSense collects personal information so that we can; administer competency assessments; provide limited access to assessment results; manage, develop and improve assessment utilization in order to assist in the achievement of competency related legal and/or regulatory requirements.
ACCESS
Please note that data, and content (such as assessment results, professional experience, post-secondary education, professional evaluations/designations, training, demographic information, identification photos, etc.) which you submit to CogniSense, will be visible to organizational representatives of the company that you have assigned yourself to and may be made available, by the assigned company, to other organizations with a direct business relationship. You can remove this access at any time by removing yourself from the assigned company.
In addition to the above information collected, CogniSense may also collect demographic and computer hardware/software information. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used by CogniSense for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the CogniSense site and application (see cookie policy)
CogniSense encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from CogniSense so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information.
USE
CogniSense collects and uses your personal information to operate the CogniSense site / application and to deliver the services you have requested. CogniSense will also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of additional functionality as it comes available.
CogniSense does not share, sell, rent or lease its user list’s to third parties.
CogniSense servers are maintained in Ontario, Canada and will only disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on CogniSense or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of CogniSense; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of CogniSense, or the public.

CogniSense will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy & Security to reflect enhanced security or privacy policies. CogniSense encourages you to periodically review this Statement of Privacy & Security to be informed of how CogniSense is protecting and securing your information.
